Use these steps to ensure rotation is working in your SmartLabel device before running an experiment.

• Click on the rotation speed. This will bring you into the rotation settings window.
• Click the button that displays the current speed of 0.01.
• On the right, click and drag the scroll bar to a speed between 2 and 3 RPM.
• Press “save” then “escape”.
• Start rotation.
• Look to see if the cup is spinning smoothly in the chamber. Make sure the cup can do one full rotation.
  • If the cup is struggling to rotate, refer to the Troubleshooting guide‘s section on rotation.
• If the cup rotates successfully, open the rotation window again.
• Click on the button that shows the current speed.
• Click and drag the bar all the way to the bottom so it shows 0 RPM.
• Press the up arrow once so the speed is 0.01 RPM.
• Save.
• Escape.
